The CLUM (Ultrafine Vertical Mill) series is designed for large-scale, ultrafine dry powder processing. It integrates multiple functions—crushing, drying, grinding, classification, and conveying—into a single system, offering compactness, high fineness, and robust throughput.
Fineness & Throughput Match
The 600–3,000 mesh range aligns precisely with CLUM’s optimized performance window. Estimated capacity of 500,000 t/year equates to ~1400 t/day (assuming 360 days/year), or ~58 t/h. Multiple CLUM1632 units in parallel would comfortably meet this scale.
Energy & Operational Efficiency
Significant energy savings compared to traditional ball mills, ideal for heavy-duty annual output. Compact footprint and lower noise—valuable in large industrial installations.
System Integration
CLUM’s combined drying, grinding, and classification suits high-throughput, moisture-variable materials like CaCO₃. Negative pressure and dust control ensure environmental compliance, critical in modern processing plants.
Operational Flexibility & Sustainability
The ability to adjust fineness quickly allows for product flexibility. Lower wear and easy maintenance translate to longer uptime and lower cost-of-ownership.
Technology Highlights of the CLUM1632 Vertical Mill
1. Integrated Process Design CLUM vertical mills combine crushing, drying, grinding, classification, and conveying. This integrated design simplifies layout, lowers cost, and enhances operational efficiency. 2. High Fineness & Adjustable Output Able to produce fineness from 600 to 3,000 mesh (20–5 micron), with potentially up to 10,000 mesh under certain systems. For the CLUM1632, key technical specs include: Particle size: 600 (D50 ≈ 4.2 µm) to 2,000 mesh (D50 ≈ 1.8 µm), and D97 as fine as 15 µm. Throughput: 13–17 t/h at 600 mesh; 7–8 t/h at 2,000 mesh. 3. Energy Efficiency & Environmental Design Compared to ball mills, CLUM mills save 20–50% energy, require 50–70% less floor space, and produce lower noise and vibration (20–25 dB quieter). The system operates under negative pressure, is fully sealed, and features a pulse dust collector, effectively controlling emissions to meet or exceed national standards. 4. Reliability & Maintenance No direct contact between rollers and grinding disc reduces impact wear and vibration. Quick-wear parts have lower power consumption and are easier to replace. Rapid material changeover is possible thanks to the modular design
