Product Overview & Production

Core-Shell Structure Uniform Pellets

Our Calcium Carbonate Masterbatch features high-purity heavy calcium carbonate (CaCO₃) as core filler, compounded with carrier resin (PE/PP), coupling agents, and dispersing additives through twin-screw extrusion. The resulting uniform "core-shell" structure guarantees excellent compatibility across PE, PP, and ABS substrates.

Extensively applied in blown film, injection molding, blow molding, extrusion, and non-woven fabrics. With addition ratios ranging from 5% to 50%, it significantly enhances product rigidity, heat resistance, and dimensional stability while substantially reducing raw material costs.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Q1: What is Calcium Carbonate Masterbatch?
Calcium Carbonate Masterbatch (CaCO₃ Masterbatch) is a pelletized compound containing high-purity calcium carbonate powder, polymer carrier resin (PE/PP), and dispersant agents. It is widely used in plastic manufacturing to improve product properties and reduce raw resin costs.
Q2: What are the primary functions of this masterbatch?
It serves three core purposes: 1) Replaces expensive virgin resin to cut material costs; 2) Enhances product rigidity, hardness, and heat deflection temperature; 3) Improves dimensional stability by reducing shrinkage and warpage.
Q3: Can masterbatch completely replace virgin resin?
No. Masterbatch is a functional filler modifier. Recommended addition rates range from 5% to 50% depending on the end application and performance requirements.
Q4: How does masterbatch affect mechanical properties?
Optimal addition increases flexural modulus, rigidity, and dimensional stability. Extremely high filling rates may slightly lower impact toughness, which can be balanced with custom additives.
Q5: What is the maximum recommended addition ratio?
Standard recommended addition is up to 50%. Custom formulations with high-dispersion agents can be engineered for specific high-loading applications.
Q6: Can we customize CaCO₃ content, carrier, particle size, and MFR?
Yes! We support complete customization: CaCO₃ content (74%–92%), carriers (PE/PP), particle sizes (3.5µ–25µ D50), and MFR (2–78 g/10min).
Q7: What is the Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) and Sample Policy?
Standard MOQ is 1 FCL (approx. 25 tons). We provide FREE samples for testing and validation (clients cover international freight).
Q8: What are your lead times and payment terms?
In-stock items ship within 7–14 days; production orders take 15–20 days. We accept T/T (30% deposit + 70% before shipment), Visa, PayPal, L/C, D/A, and D/P.
